I think we need to ban CS from these or something. It's just demoralising.

Are you doing zenithal undercoats there?
Brave you all!

Sorry :( ;)
Not intentionally. It was a resin plinth so used primer first, and wanted a grey base to work from. I just wanted the plinth black, so sprayed it and so there was black overspray on the mini!

That's bloody brilliant that is!!!

Silly question, and because you are an exceptional painter you do have to put up with them, how do you do the fleshy coloured bits on the green skin? I love how you have done that and want to try it on me gobbo's.

I R NOT CS but... when I went for that effect on my arcworlde goblin it was wet blending (badly) from green through to khaki to purple to pink. Then bit of a purple shade and pink glaze.

I too would like to hear how CS does it :)

Ha, ta!
Um, not a silly question at all! I painted the whole gobbo green, then did the fleshy bits after. First off i mixed the pink in with a bit of the base colur (in this case it was GW Pink Horror, mixed with the old foundation Gretchin green). I applied it pretty rough, and then, as WW said sort of wet blended out - basically just made the mix thinner and washed outwards.
Then used pure Pink horror 'inside' the main fleshy bit, and highlighted it as pink.
To tie it together, and make it look a bit smoother of a blend, I glazed over the transition between the 2 colours with a bit of Gretchin green - essentially made it really thin and brushed it over.

I hope that made sense!

That is absolutely stonking. :froth: It's also the kind of effect I was always hoping to go for when I got around to painting my Confrontation gobbos though nowhere near as good...

Well done my minor conversions on my entry and based him today before work so he should be ready for paint tonight.

A little more progress tonight, finally decided on a colour scheme. Armour is gonna be red though probably a bit chipped and damaged.

Still not sure what colour to do his eyes, I guess beady little black ones would make the most sense for that type of eye.
