Community Paint-a-long: Company Series 2016

Postby blackfly » Sun Oct 25, 2015 10:25 pm

Thanks to everyone's suggestions for companies to include and subsequent voting and tie breaking, we now have another series of Company based PALs all set for 2016.

Though we're still a few months from the end of 2015, we figured it'd be good to get this out of the way and decided to give advance notice and lead time plan purchases etc. Since its fairly likely folks won't have figures from every company that won the vote, so this way you have time to plan out your choices, look at your budget, and source whatever interests you in time for their respective PAL months.

Once again we're going to start the year with Citadel, for the same reasons as last year- its likely that many/most of us have something from them, and its quite accessible so may be attractive for newer folks to come over to the Platypus and join in the PAL fun. And then we'll set off running for the reset of the year with 6 more companies.

So here you go, the 2016 List!

These will turn into links for the individual months as we arrive at them.

Well I have one... I guess with Heresy being end of the year I might be able to assemble it by then. :loopy:

Get your shopping in for February! Since the winner for this month was The Brindie Collective, you have 4 companies to choose from:

Warploque

JoeK Minis

Infamy

White Dragon (site supposedly going online tomorrow)

First-time poster (found this forum by chance on the Oldhammer group on FB) and this seems like an interesting initiative which should motivate me to get some painting done. Especially the March "Otherworld" company theme as I have a warband for OFS that is in dire need of some painting attention... Cheers!

I'm hoping that March will give me motivation to paint up all those Otherworld adventurers I got in their indigogo campaign way back.

Welcome connecxion! Hope you enjoy the PAL, and have a look around the rest of the forum too. Looking forward to seeing Otherworld entires from you and EX-F both. :) I have a couple OW items myself, just not sure which I'll do yet. Have both very small and very big options, so I'll see how busy I am come march I reckon.

Thanks!

Let's see what I can come up with in March... There's a wraith, a couple of harpies, some wolves, an owlbear, a couple of lycantropes and a satyr (warband leader!). No way I'm painting them all then but a few should be done! ;)

White dragons site has now gone live, should you care or otherwise.

They've announced their stuff for sale, though the online store still only shows renders, which is pretty lame. Some actual shots from the KS

I had a plan to really advance with my OW models this month but due to a business trip at the end of the month I'll have to significantly scale down my plans. Until then, I have another Dark Elf wizard to finish (as soon as I decide on colours)...
